Yuzvendra Chahal has been sold to the Punjab Kings for Rs 18 crore in the IPL 2025 auction. Previously with the Rajasthan Royals, Chahal is known for his wicket-taking skills and has been a top performer in the league. Chahal, 34, is India's leading T20 wicket-taker with 96 wickets in 80 matches. He also holds the IPL record for the most wickets, totaling 205 in 160 games. His impressive performance made him a highly sought-after player in the auction. Before this auction, Chahal played three seasons with the Rajasthan Royals, where he took 66 wickets and won the Purple Cap. The Royals released him prior to the 2025 season, allowing Punjab to secure his services.
