ZEEKR launches Level 3 autonomous driving technology in China
ZEEKR, a Chinese electric vehicle company, introduced new autonomous driving technology today. The live event highlighted a new smart driving solution called G-Pilot. This technology will enable Level 3 autonomous driving in one of the company’s upcoming models, with plans to expand it to others later. ZEEKR is part of the larger Geely group and has released six all-electric models so far. The company plans to add a sporty GT shooting brake version of its flagship 007 sedan soon. ZEEKR is also making strides in Europe, having already delivered some models and planning further launches. During the event, ZEEKR shared details about its G-Pilot system, developed with NVIDIA technology. This system includes unique features aimed at enhancing the driving experience. The first model to feature Level 3 autonomy will be the 9X SUV, which will be showcased at the Shanghai Auto Show next month. G-Pilot offers various smart driving features, including a General Automated Evasion System (G-AES). This system allows ZEEKR vehicles to avoid unexpected obstacles at high speeds. The company plans to expand G-Pilot features to more models over time through software updates. ZEEKR's advancements in autonomous technology signal a significant step for the company as it aims for a leading position in the electric vehicle market.
