Zelenskiy addresses parliament as Ukraine marks 1,000 days of Russian invasion
KYIV (Reuters) - President Volodymyr Zelenskiy spoke to Ukraine's parliament on Tuesday, marking 1,000 days since Russia's invasion. He emphasized the importance of unity and resilience as Ukraine faces critical moments in the ongoing conflict. Zelenskiy highlighted Ukraine's strengthened ties with NATO and the European Union, noting 27 security agreements with NATO members. He reaffirmed Ukraine's commitment to sovereignty and the need for a just peace before any elections can take place. He also discussed military strategies, stating that drones are crucial in the fight against Russian forces. Ukraine plans to produce 30,000 long-range drones and 3,000 cruise missiles next year to enhance its defense capabilities.
