Zelenskiy congratulates Moldova's Sandu on election win and EU membership goal

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy congratulated Maia Sandu on her presidential election win in Moldova. He expressed support for Moldova's goal of joining the European Union and confirmed plans to coordinate on this issue.

Sandu, a pro-Western leader, won 55.3% of the vote in a runoff against Alexandr Stoianoglo, who received 51.33% within Moldova. Sandu's victory was bolstered by strong support from Moldovans living abroad.

Moldovan officials have accused Russia and businessman Ilan Shor of interfering in the election. Both Russia and Shor deny these allegations.
